Primary Hydrogen (HDRO.V) said Monday it staked the Northumberland Natural Hydrogen Project in Nova Scotia.
The project consists of two exploration licenses totaling 72 claims along the northern margin of the Cumberland Basin. Drilling elsewhere in the basin in 2026 has returned company-reported readings of up to 16.0% hydrogen, the company said.
"This year the Cumberland Basin has produced some of the strongest natural hydrogen drill readings yet reported in Canada, and the land around those results has been locked up by companies ranging from well-funded juniors to one of the most heavily financed private hydrogen explorers in the world," said Chief Executive Officer David Jackson. "Northumberland puts Primary on the basin's northern margin, adjoining that ground, at staking cost."
Primary Hydrogen shares were last seen up C$0.07, or 4.8%, to C$1.52 on the TSX Venture Exchange.
