Orezone Gold (ASX:ORE) outlined a 14-year life-of-mine plan for its Casa Berardi gold mine in Quebec, targeting 1.6 million ounces of production from 2027 to 2040 at an average annual output of 116,000 ounces and an all-in sustaining costs (AISC) of $1,877 per ounce, according to a late Tuesday statement by the company.
Production is expected to average 132,000 ounces annually from 2030 to 2038 at an AISC of $1,776 per ounce, with an after-tax net present value at a 5% discount rate of $1.05 billion based on consensus gold prices, rising to $1.43 billion at a gold price of $4,350 per ounce.
The plan incorporates both underground and open-pit mining and includes inferred mineral resources, classifying it as a preliminary economic assessment, the company said.
The company is also expanding its exploration program to 100,000 meters annually, with a focus on identifying higher-grade underground resources, making new discoveries, increasing mill throughput and reducing costs.
