Market Chatter: Xiaomi Raises Prices of Flagship Smartphones

Xiaomi (HKG:1810) has raised prices on several flagship smartphones by 300 yuan to 500 yuan starting Sunday, as higher memory chip costs continue to push up production expenses, The Standard reported, citing mainland media.

The Xiaomi 17 now starts at 4,799 yuan, up from 4,499 yuan; the Xiaomi 17 Pro increased to 5,399 yuan from 4,999 yuan; and the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max rose 500 yuan to 6,499 yuan, according to the report.

Prices of Redmi models, including the Turbo 5 and several K90 variants, also increased by about 300 yuan, the report added.
