SoftBank Group-backed (TYO:9984) SB Energy will allocate up to $500 million in new shares to Japanese investors under its US IPO, Reuters reported Tuesday, citing a filing.
The data center developer did not disclose the IPO's size, although the valuation could reach $50 billion, according to the report.
The company will channel funds from the public listing for general operating costs of developing data centers, power generation and related infrastructure projects, the report cited the filing as saying.
SB Energy did not immediately respond to' request for comment.
