Syngenta is looking to raise up to $5 billion through an initial public offering in Hong Kong, according to a Tuesday Bloomberg report.
The report, citing sources, said the Sinochem-owned pesticides maker (SHA:600500) has now confidentially filed its IPO application after Middle East tensions delayed the submission, and is targeting a public listing on the HKEX next year.
The move comes years after Syngenta backed away from its 2021 Shanghai IPO application because of volatile economic conditions, Bloomberg reported.
The report said the IPO size and listing date are still being finalized.
