Ford Motor (F) has joined the competition to build the US Army's newest tactical truck, marking its pursuit of its largest military contract since the Cold War, The Wall Street Journal reported Monday.
Ford secured a Defense Department contract to develop three truck prototypes based on its F-Series Super Duty pickups, according to the report.
Ford did not immediately respond to' request for comment.
