Market Chatter: China Airlines Uses 40% SAF Blend on Amsterdam Long-Haul Flight

China Airlines (TPE:2610) used a 40% blend of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) on a long-haul flight to Amsterdam for the first time, reducing estimated carbon dioxide emissions by 93.2 tonnes, CNA reported Monday.

The demonstration flight also used meal trays and cutlery that were 30% lighter, low-carbon meals, soy-based ink for printed materials and digital boarding passes, according to the report.

SAF has historically cost about 2.5 to three times conventional jet fuel, the news outlet said.

China Airlines did not immediately respond to' request for a comment.

Wafangdian Bearing (SHE:200706) is looking to terminate its stock listing in Shenzhen following a tender offer, according to a Tuesday filing with the Shenzhen bourse.Up to 1,459 shareholders accepted the tender offer as of Feb. 27, 2026, the bearing manufacturer said in its filing.Following the tender offer, the public float fell to below 10%, falling short of the minimum float required to remain listed, Wafangdian said.
