Malaysian shares closed slightly lower Thursday, extending yesterday's losses. The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI slid 0.3% or 4.12 points to close at 1,672.31.
The regional sentiment was downbeat amid rising oil prices and overnight Wall Street losses.
Shares of Cypark Resources (KLSE:CYPARK) dropped over 3% on close after it fixed the issue price for the third tranche of its private placement at 0.69 ringgit apiece.
Whereas, shares of Jentayu Sustainables (KLSE:JSB) gained over 2% on close after its unit Oriole Hydro Padas received approval from the Energy Commission of Sabah to extend the financial close date and scheduled commercial operation date for its 162-megawatt Oriole Hydro Project.
