Lion Rock Minerals (ASX:LRM) said infill and extensional drilling results from the Minta project in Cameroon highlight the potential for a maiden mineral resource estimate, according to a Thursday Australian bourse filing.
Samples indicating monazite, rutile, zircon, ilmenite, and gold results were observed on the Minta Est and Yong tenements, per the filing. Calculated monazite intercepts intersected at Minta Est include 6 meters at 1.2% grade of monazite from 3 meters, as well as 2 meters at 3.3% grade of monazite from 8 meters.
A further six priority rutile targets were identified and three have been drilled, the company said.
Mboma returned a broad shallow rutile dataset of 533 sample intervals across around 44 square kilometers, providing a basis to assess the area as a potential initial rutile mineral resource estimate candidate area, the company added.
Lion Rock Minerals' shares fell nearly 4% in recent trading on Thursday.
