Lion Rock Minerals (ASX:LRM) said it identified high-grade rutile mineralization during recent drilling at its Minta Project's Mboma and Loum deposits in Cameroon, according to a Thursday Australian bourse filing.The company said results returned 72.7% heavy mineral (HM) with 3.32% in-situ rutile at Mboma and 65.4% HM with 2.02% in-situ rutile at Loum.Minta Est alluvial samples are being independently assayed for the full rare earth element (REE) analytical suite, per the filing.The company's shares fell 4% in recent Thursday trade.

Lion Rock Minerals Says Drilling Results From Cameroon Project Highlight Potential for Maiden Mineral Resource Estimate; Shares Fall 4%

Lion Rock Minerals (ASX:LRM) said infill and extensional drilling results from the Minta project in Cameroon highlight the potential for a maiden mineral resource estimate, according to a Thursday Australian bourse filing.Samples indicating monazite, rutile, zircon, ilmenite, and gold results were observed on the Minta Est and Yong tenements, per the filing. Calculated monazite intercepts intersected at Minta Est include 6 meters at 1.2% grade of monazite from 3 meters, as well as 2 meters at 3.3% grade of monazite from 8 meters.A further six priority rutile targets were identified and three have been drilled, the company said.Mboma returned a broad shallow rutile dataset of 533 sample intervals across around 44 square kilometers, providing a basis to assess the area as a potential initial rutile mineral resource estimate candidate area, the company added.Lion Rock Minerals' shares fell nearly 4% in recent trading on Thursday.
