Leading Edge Materials (LEM.V) on Friday reported a fiscal third-quarter net loss of CA$882,239, compared with a net loss of CA$611,307 a year ago.
The company said the increase was due to share-based compensation of CA$285,658 and professional fees of CA$46,632.
Per-share loss for the quarter ended July 31 stood at CA$0.00, the same as the year-ago period.
The company also said it closed the second tranche of its private placement, issuing 1.1 million shares at CA$0.25 per share for CA$275,000 in gross proceeds. The first tranche closed on Aug. 18.
The proceeds will fund Norra Karr pre-feasibility and environmental work, studies on a potential restart of the Woxna Graphite mine and processing plant, and general working capital for the next 12 months, the company said.
"The company continues to seek alternative capital for its Romanian exploration activities, with on-the-groundwork focused on further definition of the most promising polymetallic targets," it added.
