Japanese Supreme Court Dismisses Kajima's Final Appeal in Antimonopoly Act Violation Case

Kajima (TYO:1812) said that Japan's Supreme Court dismissed its final appeal in a case related to a violation of the Antimonopoly Act over a construction project led by Central Japan Railway Company, according to a Tokyo bourse filing on Tuesday.

The Tokyo-listed construction company said the court dismissed its final appeal on Monday and was disappointed that its assertion was not affirmed in the criminal proceeding.

The company maintained that it takes the court decision seriously, and its directors, officers, and employees will ensure compliance and restore confidence.

Following the conclusion of the court proceedings, the company chairman, the president, and the executive vice president in charge of civil engineering will each return 20% of monthly remuneration for two months.

Wafangdian Bearing (SHE:200706) is looking to terminate its stock listing in Shenzhen following a tender offer, according to a Tuesday filing with the Shenzhen bourse.Up to 1,459 shareholders accepted the tender offer as of Feb. 27, 2026, the bearing manufacturer said in its filing.Following the tender offer, the public float fell to below 10%, falling short of the minimum float required to remain listed, Wafangdian said.
