IperionX (ASX:IPX) said its GenX continuous hydrogen assisted metallothermic reduction titanium production platform was validated through the first four production campaigns, completed on a commercial-scale system at its Virginia facility, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.
The GenX system processed over 500 kilograms of titanium powder across four separate continuous runs totaling 41 hours, at an average rate of around 12 kilogram per hour.
All spherical titanium powder samples met the Grade 23 oxygen limit, while seven of the eight angular powder samples collected met the Grade 5 oxygen limit and four of the eight also met the Grade 23 oxygen limit.
The firm's shares rose nearly 1% in recent trading on Wednesday.
