Export expectations in Germany marginally improved in July, even as the industry continues to struggle with gaining momentum, the ifo Institute said Tuesday.
The ifo export expectations edged up to -3.3 points in July, from -3.6 points in June, with electrical equipment, beverage, mechanical engineering, and food manufacturers anticipating international sales growth.
Conversely, metal, electronic, and optical manufacturers expect exports to decline, while the automotive industry remains in negative territory despite a rise in export expectations.
