The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate in Hong Kong stood at 3.7% for the three-month period from April to June, according to data from the Census and Statistics Department released Friday.
The reading matched the consensus forecast of 3.7% tracked by Trading Economics and the 3.7% rate recorded in the previous three-month period.
The underemployment rate changed to 1.6% in the April-June period from 1.5% in March-May. Total employment rose by around 6,800 to 3.6 million people, while the number of unemployed individuals declined by 1,400 to 139,700.
