Goodman Group (ASX:GMG) raised $455 million of equity from existing and new institutional investors for the Goodman Hong Kong Data Center Partnership, a private institutional investment platform focused on Hong Kong's data center market, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.
The proceeds will be used to fund the mechanical and electrical fit-out of the Goodman HKG10 data center. Goodman will operate the data center, which repurposes an existing Goodman warehouse.
The data center will add 50 megawatts to the Hong Kong market on completion. The first capacity is expected to be ready for service in early 2028.
The mining and exploration company's shares declined 1% in recent trading on Wednesday.
