Britain's private sector rebounded in July 2026, as new services orders climbed for the first time in five months, while manufacturing output expanded the most since September 2024.
The S&P Global UK Composite PMI increased to 52.2 from 49.3 in June and the flash estimate of 52.1, according to final data published Wednesday. The index weighed in above the 50-point neutral mark for the first time since April.
Meanwhile, the services PMI was 52.1, compared with the previous 48.8 and the preliminary reading of 51.8. The reading remained below the index's long-run average of 54.2.
