DL Holdings' (KRX:000210) unit, DL Chemical, said it is expected to improve profitability following approval for its joint business reorganization plan with Hanwha Solutions (KRX:009830) Lotte Chemical (KRX:011170), and Yeocheon NCC.
Under the restructuring plan, DL Chemical will transfer its PE business into Yeochun NCC, which will then be combined with assets from Lotte Chemical and Hanwha to create a jointly owned petrochemical company, according to a Wednesday filing with the Korean Exchange.
The restructuring will shift focus toward higher-value products while enhancing operational efficiency through the integration of production systems at the Yeosu Industrial Complex.
