China introduced an action plan to boost smart home consumption among households, according to a government press release published on the Ministry of Commerce's webpage on Monday.
Eight government departments unveiled the plan that aims to expand the use of smart home products across the country.
The plan also aims to improve homes through the use of age-friendly products, especially for the elderly, and streamline waste recycling points.
Financial institutions are encouraged to develop financial products and services for consumers, while the government grants subsidies to increase loan support for smart home consumption.
