Property investments in China fell 19.9% year over year during the first eight months of the year, according to data from the National Bureau of Statistics on Tuesday.
The drop was faster than the 19.2% decrease recorded in the seven months ended July.
Commercial housing sales by floor area dropped 12.1% year over year, while new construction starts plummeted 13.0%.
Funds raised by property developers also fell 21.0% from a year earlier, highlighting ongoing liquidity pressures in the sector.
