BP (BP) will carry out planned maintenance on the Central Azeri platform linked to the Azeri-Chirag-Deepwater Gunashli, or ACG, field development project in Azerbaijan over an 11-day period, it said in a statement on Wednesday.
The maintenance will begin immediately and reduce, but not suspend, the platform's output, minimizing production impacts, the company said.
The East and West Azeri platforms will also be temporarily curtailed during the maintenance works due to the integrated design and operating configuration of the Azeri area facilities, BP said.
The works will include flare system upgrades and initiatives to improve reliability and activities to support the delivery of the Central Azeri Gas Expansion project, which will increase gas reinjection capacity and maximize recovery from the wells.
Production from other ACG platforms and from the Shah Deniz field and the Sangachal terminal will continue uninterrupted during the maintenance work.
