Blossom Gold (BGAU.TO) released initial metallurgical test results from the Rosebud open-pit heap-leach project in Nevada, the company said Thursday.
The average estimated recovery for oxidized material at a 25-millimeter crush was 73% for gold and 63% for silver. The average estimated recovery for fresh rock at a 25-mm crush was 36% for gold and 40% for silver with 1.47% sulfides.
Oxides appear to leach as expected for gold, while silver recoveries were better than expected across all samples, the company said.
Blossom has also engaged Jim Wickens as metallurgical advisor for the Rosebud project.
