Black Bear Minerals Receives 'Exceptional' Results at Texas Project; Shares Up 8%

Black Bear Minerals (ASX:BKB) received "exceptional" high-grade silver results from drilling at the Shafter project in Texas, according to a Thursday filing with the Australian bourse.

Diamond drilling yielded results in the northeast of the project, including 8.8 meters at 307 grams per tonne (g/t) grade of silver, 0.7% lead, 0.8% zinc and 0.1 g/t grade of gold from 259 meters, including 1.4 meters at 958 g/t grade of silver, 2% lead, 1.9% zinc and 0.2 g/t grade of gold, the filing said.

Further results were also received from holes outside the foreign mineral resource estimate in the project's southwest, expanding the mineralized footprint, per the filing.

Shares rose 8% in morning trade Thursday.

Elixir Energy (ASX:EXR) started the stimulation, completion, and testing phase for its Lorelle-3H appraisal well in ATP2056 within the Taroom Trough in Queensland, according to a Thursday filing with the Australian bourse.The diagnostic fracture injection test will be undertaken at the toe of the horizontal well to measure reservoir pressure of the Tinowon "Dunk" Sandstone and collect other data to support the multi-stage stimulation, the filing said.Work to design an optimal fracture stimulation and production test has largely concluded, with the company completing the contracting, procurement, and preparation for the current phase, per the filing.Shares rose 2% in morning trade on Thursday.

Luye Pharma Plans $180 Million Convertible Bond Sale, Bond Buyback

Luye Pharma (HKG:2186) proposed issuing $180 million of 5.25% convertible bonds due 2031 and concurrently repurchasing its outstanding $180 million 6.25% convertible bonds due 2028, according to a Thursday Hong Kong bourse filing.The pharma company said bondholders have already committed to sell about $89.7 million principal amount of the 2028 bonds, leaving about $90.3 million outstanding.The new bonds carry an initial conversion price of HK$2.71 per share, a 24.9% premium to the stock's last closing price. If fully converted, they would represent about 13% of the company's existing issued share capital.Net proceeds of about $177.2 million will be used to refinance existing debt, including the bond repurchase, and for general corporate purposes.The company intends to list the bonds on the Vienna Stock Exchange and will seek approval from the Hong Kong Stock Exchange for the listing of the conversion shares.
