Black Bear Minerals (ASX:BKB) said it identified high-grade silver mineralization at its Shafter Project in Texas, according to a Thursday Australian bourse filing.The results were up to 3.8 meters at 171 grams per tonne silver from 146.2 meters, including 1.1 meters at 328 grams per tonne silver.The company said the intercept strongly supports continuity of mineralization outside of the Shafter foreign mineral resource estimate (MRE) and highlights the potential to define mineralization through further exploration drilling.The Shafter foreign MRE incorporates only silver, with no previous consideration given to multi-commodity potential, it added.The company's shares rose past 5% in recent Thursday trade.

Black Bear Minerals Receives 'Exceptional' Results at Texas Project; Shares Up 8%

Black Bear Minerals (ASX:BKB) received "exceptional" high-grade silver results from drilling at the Shafter project in Texas, according to a Thursday filing with the Australian bourse.Diamond drilling yielded results in the northeast of the project, including 8.8 meters at 307 grams per tonne (g/t) grade of silver, 0.7% lead, 0.8% zinc and 0.1 g/t grade of gold from 259 meters, including 1.4 meters at 958 g/t grade of silver, 2% lead, 1.9% zinc and 0.2 g/t grade of gold, the filing said.Further results were also received from holes outside the foreign mineral resource estimate in the project's southwest, expanding the mineralized footprint, per the filing.Shares rose 8% in morning trade Thursday.

Black Bear Minerals Awards Restart Studies to Ausenco for Texas Silver Project

Black Bear Minerals (ASX:BKB) awarded the next phase of operational restart studies for its Shafter Silver Project in Texas to global engineering firm Ausenco, through its US-based entity Ausenco Engineering USA South, according to a Tuesday Australian bourse filing.The company said the expanded scope will focus on staged technical de-risking and bankable feasibility studies, process trade-off studies, metallurgical test work, mine planning, environmental and preliminary restart execution planning, with the studies to refine restart plans and costs identified in dilapidation studies at the project, which has an estimated AU$150 million of existing infrastructure.Ausenco received a non-binding letter of support from Export Finance Australia (EFA) for potential financing activities associated with the award, and Black Bear Minerals is also advancing talks with US government stakeholders and private-sector counterparties aligned with strategic domestic silver supply objectives, the filing added.

Black Bear Minerals (ASX:BKB) said it has completed an updated mineral resource estimate (MRE) for its Independence Project in Nevada, exceeding a combined total of 2.2 million ounces of gold equivalent (AuEq), according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.The company said the project demonstrates "exceptional" endowment, with epithermal deposit mineralization spanning 1.5 kilometers of strike situated above high-grade 6.29 grams per tonne gold skarn deposit mineralization.The 2026 updated MRE represents an increase of 815,900 ounces since the 2025 maiden MRE at a mineral resource growth cost of AU$4.71 per ounce, with significant growth potential existing outside both the epithermal and skarn resources, as all mineral domains remain open along strike and at depth, the filing added.The company's shares surged 19% in recent Wednesday trade.
