Bharat Forge, Pratt & Whitney to Test Turboprop Engines in India's Drone Program

Bharat Forge (BOM:500493) will work with the Canadian unit of aircraft engine maker Pratt & Whitney to explore turboprop engine use cases in drones for an initiative led by India's Defense Research and Development Organization, the company said in a Tuesday bourse filing.

The company said Pratt & Whitney will test compatibility and measure engine performance, while it will oversee installation design and systems interfaces, among other things.

The Indian government agency is seeking suitable engines for its high-altitude, long-endurance (HALE) unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) program, and the collaboration aligns with the country's broader "Aatmanirbhar Bharat" initiative, the company said.

White Cliff Minerals (ASX:WCN) said Hancock Prospecting agreed to acquire a 13.5% stake in the company through the purchase of about 515.8 million new shares at AU$0.017 each, representing a total investment of roughly AU$8.8 million, according to a Tuesday filing with the Australian bourse.Mining magnate Gina Rinehart is the executive chair of Hancock Prospecting.The private placement is subject to shareholder approval, which White Cliff Minerals will seek at an extraordinary general meeting planned for Oct. 19.If approval is obtained, the completion of the placement is expected three business days after the meeting, per the filing.White Cliff Minerals said it will use the proceeds to expand and fast-track drilling and exploration activities at its Rae copper project in Canada.

Wafangdian Bearing (SHE:200706) is looking to terminate its stock listing in Shenzhen following a tender offer, according to a Tuesday filing with the Shenzhen bourse.Up to 1,459 shareholders accepted the tender offer as of Feb. 27, 2026, the bearing manufacturer said in its filing.Following the tender offer, the public float fell to below 10%, falling short of the minimum float required to remain listed, Wafangdian said.
