Asante Gold (ASE.V) reported Q2 comprehensive attributable loss of $30.5 million, compared to a loss of $61.0 million a year ago.
Revenue for the quarter ended June 30 rose to $243.4 million from $100.8 million.
Asante produced 57,274 gold equivalent ounces in Q2, compared to 28,213 gold equivalent ounces in the previous year. Sales jumped to 54,874 ounces in Q2 from 32,205 ounces last year.
Amapa Minerals Holdings (AMAP.TO) after the close on Friday said it produced approximately 500 ounces of gold during the second quarter, including about 162 ounces recovered from legacy gold-in-circuit.The company achieved its first gold pour on May 4 and also commenced gold sales, selling 291 ounces and recognizing revenue of $1.2 million in Q2. During the period ended on June 30, the company processed approximately 24,587 tonnes of existing stockpiled material at an average plant feed grade of approximately 0.59 grams of gold per tonne. Metallurgical recovery was approximately 72.2%.Cash and cash equivalents stood at $2.8 million, positive net working capital of $13.7 million and total equity of $135.5 million as of June 30, Amapa said.On July 30, the company closed its initial public offering and its shares started trading on the Toronto Stock Exchange. That time it raised C$140 million from the IPO of 127.3-million shares priced at C$1.10 each.The company's shares closed down C$0.02 to C$1.08 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
Profound Medical (PRN.TO) after trade Friday said Matthew Sobczyk has been promoted from corporate controller to interim chief financial officer, effective immediately.He joined the company in 2020 and replaces Rashed Dewan, who has stepped down as CFO, it added.Dewan would stay with the company on a short-term consulting contract to help ensure a smooth transition, Chief Executive Arun Menawat said.
Stracon Group (STG.TO) Friday after-trade reported a swing to a second-quarter profit of $0.06 per share, from a loss of $0.02 per share in the prior-year period.The engineering and industrial services company said revenue advanced 6.5% year over year, to $208.3 million. Stracon noted the industrial services segment revenue posted the biggest revenue increase, jumping 21% to $147.9 million from $122.5 million.Stracon Group shares closed unchanged at C$10.52, on the Toronto Stock Exchange
