Afya (AFYA) said Monday that discussions with Yduqs Participacoes regarding a potential business combination are at an early stage.
To date, no binding agreement, contract or commitment has been entered into, and no obligation has been assumed in connection with a potential transaction, Afya said.
It added that there can be no assurance the early discussions will result in an agreement or transaction.

Philip Morris International (PM) said Friday it has obtained authorization from the US Food and Drug Administration for the marketing of 11 ZYN ULTRA moist oral nicotine pouch products.The firm said the FDA issued Marketing Granted Orders to its US affiliate, Swedish Match USA. Major digital assets jumped Friday, with Bitcoin (BTC-USD) topping $77,000.The CoinDesk Market Index, which tracks dozens of digital assets including Bitcoin, rose 6.4% in the past 24 hours. The Nasdaq 100 and the S&P 500 each gained 0.5%, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average increased 0.8.%.Bitcoin gained 6.1% to $77,122, according to CoinMarketCap data.
