Itron Reports Unauthorized System Access, Operations Continue
Itron (ITRI) said in a filing Friday that an unauthorized third party accessed certain systems on April 13, prompting it to activate its cybersecurity response plan and launch an investigation with external advisors.The company said it took steps to contain and remediate the incident, as well as notified law enforcement.No unauthorized activity was observed in customer-hosted systems, according to a filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission.The company said its operations have continued "in all material respects."
