Itron Reports Unauthorized System Access, Operations Continue

Itron (ITRI) said in a filing Friday that an unauthorized third party accessed certain systems on April 13, prompting it to activate its cybersecurity response plan and launch an investigation with external advisors.

The company said it took steps to contain and remediate the incident, as well as notified law enforcement.

No unauthorized activity was observed in customer-hosted systems, according to a filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission.

The company said its operations have continued "in all material respects." The incident will likely have no material impact on the company and any costs incurred are expected to be covered by insurance, Itron added.

MaxLinear Q1 Swings to Adjusted Earnings, Revenue Rises; Q2 Guidance Set

MaxLinear (MXL) reported Q1 adjusted earnings late Thursday of $0.22 per diluted share, swinging from a loss of $0.05 a year earlier.Analysts polled by FactSet expected EPS of $0.18.Revenue for the three months ended March 31 was $137.2 million, up from $95.9 million a year earlier.Analysts surveyed by FactSet expected $134.6 million.For Q2, the company expects revenue of $160 million to $170 million.
