Japan Exchange Group's Fiscal Q1 Attributable Net Income Rises 74%

Japan Exchange Group (TYO:8697) posted a 73.6% year-over-year rise in attributable net income for the fiscal first quarter to 29.57 billion yen from 17.03 billion yen.Basic EPS was 28.81 yen, compared with 16.42 yen a year earlier, according to a Tokyo bourse filing on Tuesday.Operating revenue rose 50.8% to 65.52 billion yen from 43.45 billion yen for the three months ended June 30.In a separate filing, the company raised its full-year attributable net income forecast to 98.5 billion yen from 77.5 billion yen, basic EPS to 96.40 yen from 75.85 yen and operating revenue to 241.5 billion yen from 205 billion yen.The revision was due to changes in the average daily trading values and volumes assumed for the forecast.The company plans to pay interim and year-end dividends of 38 and 39 yen per share, respectively, for the current year, which are higher than the year-ago period.Shares of the financial market operator were down 1% in afternoon trading.
