Nitto Denko Profit Rises 8% in Fiscal Q1

Nitto Denko (TYO:6988) posted an 8.2% year-over-year increase in net profit attributable to owners of the parent to 33.87 billion yen for the three months ended June 30 from 31.30 billion yen.The adhesive manufacturer's basic earnings per share increased to 50.75 yen from 45.68 yen a year ago, according to a Tokyo bourse filing on Tuesday.Revenue jumped 10.3% to 271.67 billion yen during the period from 246.2 billion yen in the year-ago period.For the fiscal year ending March 31, 2027, the company expects attributable profit of 142 billion yen, basic EPS of 212.75 yen, and revenue of 1.11 trillion yen.Nitto Denko plans to pay a second-quarter dividend of 32 yen for the current fiscal year.

Nitto Denko Repurchases 11 Billion Yen Shares in June

Nitto Denko's (TYO:6988) repurchased 3.6 million common shares between June 1 and June 30 through open market repurchases for 10.94 billion yen, according to a Friday filing on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.The repurchases are part of an ongoing share buyback program originally authorized by the board of directors on March 30. The program permits the acquisition of up to 20 million shares at a purchase price of up to 50 billion yen.With this, Nitto Denko has repurchased over 9.4 million shares to date for 29.44 billion yen. The buyback launched on April 8 and runs through Aug. 31.

Nitto Denko's Profit Slips 2.7% for Fiscal Year 2025

Nitto Denko's (TYO:6988) profit attributable to owners of the parent slipped 2.7% to 133.5 billion yen for the fiscal year 2025 from 137.2 billion yen a year earlier.The company's earnings per share increased to 197.11 yen from 195.65 yen a year ago, according to a Tokyo bourse filing on Monday.Revenue edged up 1.4% to 1.028 trillion yen for the year ended March 31 from 1.014 trillion yen in the prior year.It declared a final dividend of 30 yen per share, payable from June 22.For the fiscal year ending March 31, 2027, the company expects attributable profit of 141 billion yen, basic EPS of 209.30 yen, and revenue of 1.065 trillion yen.Nitto Denko plans to pay interim and year-end dividends of 32 yen per share, each, for the current fiscal year, which is higher than the amount paid in the year-ago period.
