Rorze (TYO:6323) has approved a new Shanghai sub-subsidiary through its wholly owned unit Rorze Createch, expanding semiconductor equipment manufacturing capacity in China.The new entity, to be named Rorze Createch Precision Technology, will be capitalized at 20 million yuan and is scheduled to be established in September, according to a bourse filing on Monday.The Shanghai-based subsidiary will focus on manufacturing, developing and selling automated wafer handling systems, along with technical support and import/export agency services.Rorze said the impact on its consolidated results for the current fiscal year will be immaterial, with operations at the new facility expected to commence next spring.

Rorze's Profit Surges 56% in Fiscal First Q1

Rorze's (TYO:6323) profit attributable to owners of the parent soared 56% to 8.21 billion yen for the fiscal first quarter from 5.26 billion yen a year earlier.The semiconductor automation supplier's earnings per share increased to 47.34 yen from 29.90 yen a year ago, according to a Tokyo bourse filing on Thursday.Net sales jumped nearly 13% to 37.2 billion yen for the three months ended May 31 from 33.1 billion yen in the prior-year period.For the fiscal year ending Feb. 28, 2027, the company expects attributable profit of 27.8 billion yen, basic EPS of 159.62 yen and net sales of 159 billion yen.Rorze plans to pay a year-end dividend of 20 yen per share for the current year, which is higher than the 17 yen per share paid in the year-ago period.
