Sato to Buy Flexible Packaging Maker
Sato (TYO:6287) will acquire all voting shares of flexible packaging manufacturer Hiranoya Bussan to make it a wholly-owned subsidiary, effective June 15, at an undisclosed price, according to a Tokyo bourse filing on Tuesday.The acquisition aims to combine SATO's automatic identification technologies, such as 2D barcodes and RFID, with Hiranoya's expertise in pouch manufacturing and in-house production capabilities, the filing said.
