Sato (TYO:6287) will acquire all voting shares of flexible packaging manufacturer Hiranoya Bussan to make it a wholly-owned subsidiary, effective June 15, at an undisclosed price, according to a Tokyo bourse filing on Tuesday.
The acquisition aims to combine SATO's automatic identification technologies, such as 2D barcodes and RFID, with Hiranoya's expertise in pouch manufacturing and in-house production capabilities, the filing said.

South Korean software company Innoax (KOSDAQ:296640) secured a contract from Samsung SDS (KRX:018260) to enhance the Samsung Life Insurance front-core system, according to a Monday filing with the Korean Exchange.The contract, valued at 3.48 billion won, is valid till Dec. 21, 2027.Shares of Innoax fell nearly 1% in recent trade.
