Japan Post's Profit Edges Up 1.1% in Fiscal Year 2025

Japan Post's (TYO:6178) profit attributable to owners of the parent gained 1.1% to 374.6 billion yen in fiscal year 2025 from 370.6 billion yen a year earlier.The postal and logistics company's net income per share increased to 129.14 yen from 119.30 yen a year ago, according to a Tokyo bourse filing on Friday.Ordinary income slipped 0.2% to 11.4 trillion yen in the year ended March 31 from 11.5 trillion yen in the prior year.Japan Post declared a final dividend of 25 yen per share, payable from June 25.For fiscal year 2026, the company expects attributable net income of 380 billion yen, net income per share of 135.41 yen, and ordinary income of 11.4 trillion yen.Japan Post plans to pay interim and year-end dividends of 30 yen per share each for the year, higher than the amount paid the prior year.
