Japan Post Holdings (TYO:6178) recorded a 64% rise in attributable profit in the first fiscal quarter to 125.3 billion yen from 76.5 billion yen a year prior.
Basic EPS was 45.07 yen, up from 25.75 yen in the year-ago period, according to a Friday Tokyo bourse filing.
Ordinary income for the postal and logistics company increased 6.2% to 2.986 trillion yen from 2.81 trillion yen previously.
The company forecasts an attributable profit of 380 billion yen, basic EPS of 138.39 yen, ordinary income of 11.4 trillion yen, and a total dividend of 60 yen per share for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2027.
