Resonac's Profit Jumps 75% in Q1
Resonac's (TYO:4004) profit attributable to owners of the parent rose 75% to 15.3 billion yen for the first quarter from 8.75 billion yen a year earlier.The chemicals company's earnings per share increased to 76.17 yen from 48.44 yen a year ago, according to a Tokyo bourse filing on Wednesday.Revenue slipped 4.1% to 307.9 billion yen for the three months ended March 31 from 321.1 billion yen in the prior-year period.For the year ending Dec. 31, the company expects attributable profit of 77 billion yen, EPS of 425.45 yen, and revenue of 1.31 trillion yen.Resonac plans to pay a year-end dividend of 65 yen per share for the year.
