Resonac (TYO:4004) recorded a 147% rise in attributable profit for the first half of 2026 to 48.5 billion yen from 19.7 billion yen a year prior.
Earnings per share increased to 240.25 yen from 108.71 yen previously, according to a Thursday Tokyo bourse filing.
Revenue jumped 5.4% to 676.9 billion yen from 642.1 billion yen in the year-ago period.
The company forecasts an attributable profit of 112.5 billion yen, basic EPS of 606.32 yen, revenue of 1.165 trillion yen, and a total dividend of 65 yen per share for the fiscal year ending Dec. 31.
The company revised the forecast for revenue in a downward manner as the Crasus Chemical segment will be treated as a discontinued operation after its planned partial spinoff in 2026, according to a separate filing.
The attributable profit forecast was revised upward amid higher sales volumes in the semiconductor and electronic materials segment.
