Japanese stocks reporting earnings declined on Tuesday, led by electronic devices, imaging products, and video game makers.Macnica's (TYO:3132) shares plummeted 13% after reporting that first-quarter net income soared 114% to 10.9 billion yen or 61.20 yen per share. The electronic device and integrated circuit manufacturer's net sales jumped nearly 40% to 393.4 billion yen.For the full year ending March 31, 2027, the company expects attributable net income of 32 billion yen, net income per share of 179.21 yen and net sales of 1.3 trillion yen.Canon's (TYO:7751) shares fell nearly 6% after disclosing first-half results. Net income attributable to owners of the parent rose 9.8% to 171.2 billion yen for the six months ended June 30. The consumer imaging equipment maker's attributable net income per share rose to 197.36 yen while net sales jumped 3.5% to 2.275 trillion yen.For the full year ending Dec. 31, the company expects attributable net income of 340 billion yen, basic attributable net income per share of 398.51 yen and net sales of 4.8 trillion yen.The company expects to pay a year-end dividend of 80 yen per share for the current fiscal year.Koei Tecmo (TYO:3635) dropped 5% despite registering a sharp jump in fiscal Q1 earnings. Koei Tecmo's Profit Jumps 14% in Fiscal Year 2025

Koei Tecmo's (TYO:3635) profit attributable to owners of the parent increased 14% to 42.8 billion yen for the fiscal year 2025 from 37.6 billion yen a year earlier.The amusement and video game company's earnings per share increased to 131.67 yen from 113.65 yen a year ago, according to a Tokyo bourse filing on Monday.Net sales climbed 6.3% to 88.4 billion yen for the full year ended March 31 from 83.2 billion yen in the prior year.In a separate disclosure, Koei Tecmo raised its final dividend to 66 yen per share, from 43 yen forecasted earlier, payable from June 19.For the fiscal year 2026, the company expects attributable profit of 31 billion yen, basic EPS of 95.38 yen, and net sales of 90 billion yen.Koei Tecmo plans to pay a year-end dividend of 48 yen per share for the year, which is lower than the amount paid the previous year.

Koei Tecmo Raises Fiscal 2025 Forecasts on New Launches, Non-Operating Income Gains

Amusement and anime holding company Koei Tecmo (TYO:3635) has raised its attributable profit forecast for the fiscal year 2025 to 41.5 billion yen from 27 billion yen previously, according to a Tokyo bourse filing on Monday.Interim net income per share estimates for the year ended March were increased to 127.68 yen from 85.49 yen initially, but the net sales projection decreased to 87.5 billion yen from 92 billion yen.The upward revision was driven by new titles launched in the fourth quarter and other titles exceeding initial plans, which boosted net sales and operating profit.Additionally, significant gains in non-operating income and expenses resulting from active market management further lifted ordinary profit and profit attributable to owners of the parent.As a result, net sales, ordinary profit, and attributable profit are all expected to achieve record levels for the company.
