Dynamic Map Eyes Acquisitions to Accelerate Vertical Integration
Dynamic Map (TYO:336A) is currently evaluating multiple acquisition opportunities to accelerate vertical integration and expand its surveying network, according to a Tokyo bourse filing on Friday. This follows the high-precision 3D map data platform company's IPO in 2025, which enabled renewed M&A activity after the 2019 acquisition of Ushr. The company is shifting from project-based to license-based revenue, capitalizing on rapid Physical AI market growth and rising enterprise demand from automakers, semiconductor firms, and autonomous driving developers.Dynamic Map was established with funding from major Japanese automakers under a government initiative and subsequently expanded globally by acquiring a U.S.-based HD map company backed by General Motors.
