Nissin Foods' (TYO:2897) attributable profit rose 18.3% in the fiscal first quarter on the heels of overseas revenue growth during the period.Attributable profit grew to 13.28 billion yen in the three months through June 30 from 11.22 billion yen in the year-ago period, according to a Tuesday filing with the Tokyo Exchange.Diluted earnings per share increased to 45.93 yen from 38.11 yen in the prior-year period, beating a forecast of 36.27 yen compiled by Investing.com.Revenue expanded 10% to 194.67 billion yen during the three-month period from 177.03 billion yen in the fiscal first quarter of 2025, exceeding the forecast of 190.60 billion yen.Domestic revenue edged up 2.7% to 117.62 billion yen, while overseas revenue increased 22.9% to 74.52 billion yen, helped by a 27.4% increase from the Americas.Nissin expects costs to rise by up to 5 billion yen in the second quarter due to the Middle East conflict.For the full fiscal year, Nissin forecasts attributable profit to rise up to 5.8% to up to 48 billion yen, while earnings per share could range between 159 yen and 167 yen.
