Terra Drone Adds Two Ukrainian Drone Companies to Defense Platform
Tokyo-based Terra Drone (TYO:278A) will acquire a 50% stake in Ukraine's WinnyLab, becoming its largest shareholder and consolidating it as a subsidiary through its Estonia-based European unit.The transaction follows Terra Drone's initial investment in WinnyLab in April, according to a Monday statement.Terra Drone said it plans to leverage WinnyLab's expertise in fixed-wing interceptor drones to accelerate the global expansion of its defense business.Separately, the company said it will also consolidate Amazing Drones, a Ukrainian interceptor drone company developing the Terra A1 short-range, rapid-response interceptor drone.The two consolidations are aimed at building a layered defense system capable of addressing increasingly diverse aerial threats, Terra Drone said.
