Smith Micro Software Names Bill Smith as CEO
Smith Micro Software (SMSI) said Friday it appointed Bill Smith as its president and chief executive officer.Smith succeeds outgoing CEO Tim Huffmyer, who has resigned to pursue other opportunities and will remain on the board of directors, the company said.Smith founded and previously led Smith Micro Software for more than 40 years and has served as the executive chairman of the board since March 2026, the company added.Shares of Smith Micro were down more than 6% in Friday trading.Price: $2.74, Change: $-0.18, Percent Change: -6.20%
