Aedge Group Targets SG$3.5 Million Fund Raise Through Share Placement

Aedge Group (SGX:XVG) aims to raise around SG$3.5 million by placing 16.7 million new shares at SG$ 0.21 each, for which it has entered an underwritten placement agreement on Friday, according to a same-day filing to the Singapore stock exchange.After accounting for the estimated fees and expenses, the net proceeds will be around SG$3.4 million, the multi-services provider said.The new shares amount to about 10.29% of the existing share capital of 161.9 million and around 9.33% of the enlarged capital of 178.6 million shares.Proceeds from the proposed placement will be used to support the growth of its investment properties division, strengthen its general working capital position, and to broaden its shareholder base, which may in turn improve its trading liquidity.

Aedge Group's (SGX:XVG) subsidiary, IPF Investments, exercised an option to acquire a freehold property in Singapore for SG$7.5 million, according to a Monday bourse filing.The property has a land area of around 297.4 square meters and is currently tenanted at a monthly rent of SG$20,000.The acquisition will be funded through a combination of internal resources and bank borrowings and is expected to be completed on or before Oct. 13.

Aedge Unit Bags New Singapore Dormitory License

Aedge's (SGX:XVG) subsidiary, Gems Dormitory, secured a Class 3 license from the Ministry of Manpower, allowing it to operate a dormitory at 4 Tuas in Singapore named Beryl House, according to a Tuesday bourse filing.Under Singaporean regulations, a Class 3 license covers dormitories with an occupancy of around 999 beds, with Gems Dormitory's total bed capacity standing at 707 beds. Following the new license, the company will progressively increase occupancy at Beryl House.Gens Dormitory's other property, Amethyst House, which comprises 299 beds, already has a Class 2 license.Shares of the manpower services company closed over 7% on Tuesday.
