Wong Fong Director-Linked Firm Faces US Legal Proceedings
Wong Fong Industries (SGX:1A1, TPE:1416) said civil legal proceedings have commenced in the US against Chimpworld International, a company owned by its controlling shareholder and non-executive non-independent director Lew Chern Yong.The company said neither it nor the group is a party to the proceedings and Chimpworld is separate from and unrelated to the group.Chimpworld intends to engage the US counsel to defend its position.
