New Zealand shares fell on Thursday, tracking weakness on Wall Street after data showed inflation still firm in the US.The S&P/NZX 50 Index fell 0.95% or 133.16 points to close at 13,880.05.The personal consumption expenditures index in the US rose 0.2% in July compared with ​the prior month, showing that the US Federal Reserve's preferred inflation measure is still hot.On Wednesday, the S&P 500 was flat, and the Nasdaq Composite edged lower 0.1% while the Dow Jones fell 0.2%, even as technology stocks received a boost from Nvidia earnings.In corporate news, Summerset Group Holdings (NZE:SUM, ASX:SNZ) logged NZ$0.7046 in EPS for the first half, compared with NZ$0.373 a year ago.
