Centrus Energy Signs Multi-Year Haleu Supply Contract With Antares Nuclear

Centrus Energy (LEU), a Maryland-based nuclear fuel company, said Thursday it has reached a definitive multi-year agreement to supply California-based nuclear fission company Antares Nuclear with high-assay low-enriched uranium or Haleu, with deliveries expected to commence before the end of the decade. The contract includes prepayments from Antares to support the expanded Haleu capacity and will ensure a reliable, domestic Haleu source to support Antares' advanced reactor projects, according to a statement.Antares is developing compact microreactors for critical missions, including those related to space and national security, and has been recently selected for different programs and demonstrations by the US Army, Air Force and Space Force, the statement said.Meanwhile, Centrus is producing US Haleu at its American Centrifuge Plant in Piketon, Ohio, the only licensed Haleu facility in the western world. In 2025, it began a multi-billion-dollar expansion to produce Haleu and low-enriched uranium on a large scale.

Centrus, Radiant Sign Multiyear HALEU Deal for Kaleidos Microreactors

Centrus Energy (LEU) and nuclear reactor developer Radiant have signed a multi-year agreement to supply US-produced high-assay low-enriched uranium to fuel multiple Radiant Kaleidos microreactors, the companies said Wednesday.Under the agreement, Centrus will begin deliveries before the end of the decade, providing Radiant with another domestic source of HALEU as it moves toward commercial and national security deployments of its transportable microreactors. The deal also includes prepayments from Radiant to Centrus to support the US firm's plans to expand domestic commercial enrichment capacity. The agreement adds Radiant to Centrus' growing customer backlog for HALEU, a type of uranium enriched to between 5% and 20% uranium-235, which many advanced nuclear reactor designs are expected to require.Radiant's Kaleidos microreactors are designed to be transportable and provide power to remote locations, data centers, defense facilities and industrial sites.Centrus said the HALEU supplied under the agreement will be "unobligated," meaning the material can be used for national security applications. Its AC100 centrifuge is the only deployment-ready US-origin enrichment technology currently available for unobligated enrichment. The energy firm has supplied utility customers with fuel equivalent to more than 1,850 reactor years since 1998.Price: $185.51, Change: $-0.03, Percent Change: -0.01%

Centrus Energy to Provide Uranium Enrichment Services to X-Energy

Centrus Energy (LEU), a Maryland-based supplier of nuclear fuel, services and technology, has agreed to provide X-Energy (XE) enrichment services for low-enriched uranium and high-assay low-enriched uranium, the two companies said in a joint-statement on Thursday.X-Energy is a Maryland-based developer of advanced nuclear reactors and fuel technology."At full execution, the agreement meaningfully de-risks X-energy's Xe-100 project pipeline and would secure HALEU to support a portion of the initial fuel needs of X-energy's [11.5 gigawatt] commercial pipeline," the statement said. The agreement between the first two US Nuclear Regulatory Commission-licensed HALEU fuel facilities will help advance commercialization of next-generation nuclear fuels, it added. As per the deal terms, Centrus will supply HALEU enriched at its American Centrifuge Plant in Ohio to X-energy's subsidiary, Triso-X, for fuel production at the latter's facility in Tennessee."The agreement establishes terms for commitments operating under a phased approach to scale HALEU production in alignment with the advancement of X-energy's commercial pipeline," the statement added.
