Malaysian Shares End in Red Mirroring Regional Gloom; UUE Shares Drop 3%
Malaysian shares closed slightly lower on Tuesday, with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI down 1.1% at 1,679.21, in line with the downbeat performance of regional peers amid escalating oil prices.In corporate news, shares of UUE (KLSE:UUE) dropped over 3% on close aftr its subsidiary, Kum Fatt Engineering has signed a joint venture agreement with EGP Infrastructure Investments to form a Malaysian company for power grid infrastructure.Kim Loong Resources' (KLSE:KMLOONG) fresh fruit bunches output in August stood at 25,098 metric tonnes. Crude palm oil production reached 27,704 metric tonnes, while palm kernel output was recorded at 6,802 metric tonnes.Malayan Bank (KLSE:MAYBANK) filed for the listing of $700 million bonds on the Singapore bourse. The bank filed for the listing of $300 million floating-rate bonds due 2029 and $400 million in 5.088% bonds due 2031.
