Sime Darby Property to Buy Property for MYR418.5 Million
Sime Darby Property (KLSE:SIMEPROP) will acquire 556.96 acres of freehold land in Johor, Malaysia, from SD Guthrie (KLSE:SDG) for 418.5 million ringgit.The company plans to develop the site into a township comprising residential and commercial properties, according to Tuesday Malaysian bourse filings by both companies.The land is located within the Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone and has an estimated gross development value of about 3 billion ringgit.The first phase is expected to launch in 2028, with development planned over 10 to 15 years.The acquisition is subject to regulatory and shareholder approvals, and is expected to be completed by the second quarter of 2027, it said.

SD Guthrie, Sime Darby Property to Pay MYR798 Million for Selangor Land
SD Guthrie (KLSE:SDG) and Sime Darby Property (KLSE:SIMEPROP) will pay about 798.3 million ringgit to acquire land for a planned industrial and logistics corridor in Kuala Selangor, according to a Wednesday disclosure.The companies formalized a proposed acquisition of about 1,021.9 acres within the Bukit Kerayong Estate in Kapar, which will serve as the site of the joint development.The parties each hold a 50% stake in the joint venture and have committed to invest up to 100 million ringgit each.

SD Guthrie Reports May Production Figures
SD Guthrie (KLSE:SDG) reported crude palm oil production of 194,538 metric tons in May, according to a Friday Malaysian bourse filing.The plantation group harvested 740,281 metric tons of fresh fruit bunches during the month.Meanwhile, palm kernel production totaled 42,144 metric tons, the filing said.
