Nestlé (Malaysia)'s Profit Soars 38% in Q2
Nestlé (Malaysia) (KLSE:NESTLE) reported a profit of 155 million ringgit in the second quarter of the year, up 38% from 112.1 million ringgit a year earlier, according to a Tuesday filing with Bursa Malaysia.Basic earnings per share climbed to 0.661 ringgit from 0.4781 ringgit a year prior.Revenue also rose 8.7% year on year to 1.81 billion ringgit from 1.67 billion ringgit, the food company said.The company's board also declared a dividend of 0.80 ringgit per share for the financial year ending Dec. 31, payable on Oct. 21.
